Show your support for History Day!
Originating in Cleveland in the 1970s, National History Day (NHD) has become an internationally acclaimed, year-long educational enrichment program for over 600,000 students in 4th-12th grade. At the Ohio History Connection, we make it a priority to improve social studies education and we are proud to coordinate this prestigious program in Ohio. Over 7,000 Ohio students compete each year by researching transformative events or key figures in history and present their topics through creative projects like websites, performances, and documentaries. Students who participate in the program dramatically improve their study habits, research analysis, teamwork, technology use, communication skills, creativity, and project development.
We need your help to provide in-classroom support, assist low-income students’ participation, offer training to teachers, and give more students across Ohio access to better social studies education.
Join us as we prepare children for college and their future careers. Become an advocate for Ohio’s students and show your support today!
